Sublime Text 3 is a lightweight text editor for hundreds of different programming languages. Nowadays, many integrated development environments bog down the user's machine and feature dozens of bulky, confusing buttons.

By contrast, Sublime prides itself on leaving all the extra fluff, buttons, and other features out. Plain and simple, Sublime is just a text editor with seamless syntax highlighting. More than any other code editor, Sublime allows the user to purely focus on the code they're generating with none of the frills.

Users are able to drag and drop files or folders into a compact folder viewer on the left side of the application. The right side of the editor features a miniaturized code map that lets users click exactly where they'd like to toggle the code; this makes it very easy to scroll through dense code selections.

Though Sublime looks very simple, it features a bunch of features that make it much more worthwhile than basic text editors. First and foremost, Sublime highlights syntax of over a hundred different programming languages. Multiple files can be opened at once that automatically appear in different tabs.

For more experienced users, it's very easy to highly, copy, paste, comment out, and delete certain text selections using only keyboard commands. Since Sublime is partly open source, it's simple to extend its functionality as needed with plug ins.

Users love Sublime since it's extremely speedy to open and port code to. The lightweight editor isn't slowed down with IntelliSense error generation, code parsing, or step-by-step code debuggers. If you're just looking to play around with certain code, Sublime provides a pain-free experience.
